Dog Friendly FAQs
and Policies
The Stella is proud to be the most dog welcoming accommodation in Llandudno, North Wales, and strives to create an inclusive, welcoming space where both humans and their dogs feel embraced and connected to a community that values them. As such, a robust dog policy is in place to ensure the comfort and safety of all of our guests. Below are some frequently asked questions and our pet policy.

Q: Can I bring my dog(s)?
A: Yes! The Stella prides itself on being designed as a very dog-friendly establishment, and each guest room can accommodate up to two dogs with their humans. The Stella has a pet policy in place to ensure the comfort and safety of all; please refer to our pet policy for more information.
Q: Do you charge extra for dogs?
A: No, we do not charge extra for dogs. They are included in the guest room rate.

Q: Do you have size or breed restrictions?
A: The Stella welcomes all dogs, no matter their size or breed.
A note: Some of the dogs that stay at The Stella may be required to wear a muzzle in public due to government-mandated breed-specific legislation. However, we kindly also ask that dogs of nervous or reactive temperaments be muzzled whilst in common areas. There is absolutely no shame in muzzle use! To the contrary, we applaud responsible dog owners’ use of muzzles.

Q: Is there a limit on the number of dogs?
A: Each guest room can accommodate up to two dogs with their humans. This limit of two dogs per guest room is due to space constraints in our B&B's communal areas (including entrance hall and stairways) that are frequented by all guests.

Q: Can I leave my dog alone in my guest room?
A: The Stella’s pet policy allows dogs to be left unattended in guest bedrooms for short periods only if their owner remains onsite; dogs CANNOT be left alone in guest rooms when their owner leaves the premises.

Dogs cannot be left alone in guest rooms when their owner leaves the premises because even dogs who are very well crate trained and comfortable being left at home can react quite differently in an unfamiliar environment. New smells, sounds, and surroundings can sometimes cause anxiety or behaviours that wouldn’t normally occur at home, and so for the comfort of all our guests—both human and canine—we’ve found this policy works best.

The Stella is licensed by Conwy Council as a registered dog sitting establishment and offers evening dog sitting services to allow you to enjoy dog-free outings during your stay if you do have plans that don't include your dog.
Q: Do you provide pet sitting services?
A: Yes, we offer evening dog sitting services for guests who want to enjoy activities that don't allow dogs, like dining out or attending a show. Please refer to our "Dog Sitting" page for more details.
