Terms & Conditions
All guest room reservations include a Californian-inspired Continental breakfast during regular bed and breakfast operations (i.e. Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday mornings and holidays/special events). The Joyce Suite is self-catering mid-week when normal bed and breakfast operations are paused.
A healthy start to the day is a priority to a Californian diet. So in addition to freshly baked pastries, breakfast spreads at The Stella daily include items such as seasonal fresh fruit cups and overnight protein oats. Avocado toast on sourdough bread is also a favourite, with the avocado option based upon seasonable availability. Additionally, no good day in California could start without a good cup of coffee, which is why The Stella sources a special roast for guests from San Francisco.
Cancellation requests must be made in writing by emailing info@stellallandudno.com. Cancellation requests made with more than 7 days' notice will receive a 90% refund of the deposit (a full refund minus a 10% processing fee). Cancellations made with 7 days’ notice or less forfeit the deposit paid; the deposit will be retained by The Stella.
In the event of no-show, the outstanding price of the reservation will be charged to the card used to pay the deposit.

Children under the age of 5 are not permitted. Due to the historic nature of The Stella, we are not able to accommodate infants or small children, in accordance with modern building regulations relating to the finished floor levels (FFL) of The Stella's 19th century original features.
The Stella does not have disabled access or a lift, and is unfortunately not suitable for people with mobility challenges, due to the building's historic layout. We are not able to offer wheelchair accessible features, and there are a number of stairs at the property, some that are quite steep.

Free, wireless internet is available throughout the property.
We ask that guests check in between 3-7 PM on the day of arrival, unless otherwise arranged.
If you will be arriving after 7pm, please let us know before then; we occasionally have commitments in the evening and want to ensure someone is here to greet you.

To maintain our high standards of cleanliness, some rooms require a 2-night minimum stay. This policy helps us ensure that each room is thoroughly cleaned and prepared for our guests.
Yes, you can book certain rooms for just one night. Please check availability when making your reservation.
We are closed for bed and breakfast on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday nights, except for holidays and special events. The Joyce Suite is available all week but is self-catering when the normal bed and breakfast operations are paused; this means that for multi-day reservations in The Joyce Suite, mid-week stays are self-catering while Friday-Monday mornings include breakfast.
No, smoking or vaping is not allowed inside the property. Guests found violating this policy will be asked to leave and charged an extra night's stay for additional cleaning.
The Stella strives to maintain a positive environment and we ask that our guests do also. We reserve the right to send guests away from the property due to their conduct and behaviour, or for any other safety or security reasons.
You're welcome to lock your bike on the railing at the rear of the property. Alternatively, you can keep your pedal bike inside our utility room, which is a locked room that we can access for you.
Yes, The Stella is VAT registered, and provides VAT invoices upon request.
The Stella is rentable for exclusive use to private parties and groups! Additionally, we can offer bespoke event support to help arrange special occasions.
