Thoughts from Kristin (Stella Owner/Operator) on The Stella's Dog-Friendly Mission and Ethos

The Stella’s dog-friendly ethos comes from my own experience with my beloved dog, Buxley. When I travelled with Buxley, I often found that many places claimed to be dog-friendly but had hidden restrictions or judged dogs based on size or breed. That was frustrating and disheartening.

So at The Stella, we do things differently:

• All dogs are welcome, no matter their size or breed.

• There is no additional pet fee; dogs stay with us included in the guest room rate.

• Dogs are allowed in all guest areas with no exclusion zones.

  
  

This approach is rooted in the love I had for Buxley. After Buxley passed away, her spirit became a driving force behind The Stella’s mission. The Stella strives to create an inclusive, welcoming space where both humans and their dogs feel embraced and connected to a community that values them.
