The Stella Historic Llandudno Bed and Breakfast has been honoured with the 2025 Pet Friendly Award from Go North Wales. This recognition celebrates The Stella as the premier dog-friendly business in all of North Wales.

The Go North Wales Tourism Awards recognises places that show real care for their guests, innovate in their services, and contribute to the community. This year, the awards gala was held at Venue Cymru in Llandudno on 20 November 2025, and it was a night full of celebration, connection, and joy — with The Stella Historic Llandudno Bed and Breakfast being awarded the Best Pet Friendly Business 2025!
Winning the Pet Friendly Award is a huge honour because it reflects The Stella's commitment to being genuinely dog welcoming. It’s a recognition that The Stella is a place where dogs are not just allowed but truly embraced and included in every part of the guest experience.
The Stella Historic Llandudno Bed and Breakfast leans wholeheartedly into its dog-welcoming ethos — because it knows a simple truth: if you try to appeal to everyone, you end up appealing to no one. And The Stella has no interest in being everything to everyone. Instead, it chooses to speak directly, proudly, and intentionally to its tribe: people who love dogs.
This isn’t a place that merely accepts dogs. It’s a place that celebrates them.
Everything about The Stella is rooted in authenticity — shaped by lived experience, genuine care, and a belief that dogs are family. The result? Thoughts from Kristin (Stella Owner/Operator) on The Stella's Dog-Friendly Mission and Ethos
The Stella’s dog-friendly ethos comes from my own experience with my beloved dog, Buxley. When I travelled with Buxley, I often found that many places claimed to be dog friendly but had hidden restrictions or judged dogs based on size or breed. That was frustrating and disheartening.
So at The Stella, we do things differently:
All dogs are welcome, no matter their size or breed.
There is no additional pet fee; dogs stay with us included in the guest room rate.
Dogs are allowed in all guest areas with no exclusion zones.
This approach is rooted in the love I had for Buxley. After Buxley passed away, her spirit became a driving force behind The Stella’s mission: The Stella strives to create an inclusive, welcoming space where both humans and their dogs feel embraced and connected to a community that values them.
