What a wonderful B and B in the heart of Llandudno. The rooms are beautiful and we loved the attention given to every little detail which made our stay so memorable! Kristin is the perfect hostess who went the extra mile to ensure that we had all that we needed! The Californian breakfast was beautifully presented with fresh fruit salad, yoghurt, pastries etc and great coffee. The
Stella is the perfect base for visiting Llandudno as it is close to everything. We will definitely be back!
Excellent stay in a beautifully renovated B&B
Kristin has put a lot of effort into making this historic building into a comfortable B&B.
The location is excellent, being right next to the bottom station of the Great Orme tramway and just a few minutes walk from the seafront and the town centre. Rooms are light and comfortable, as well as being equipped with plenty of modern amenities and personal touches that were most appreciated.
Breakfast is an elevated continental concept with the usual continental offering plus high quality pastries, bread, overnight oats and hot drinks.
Kristin is clearly passionate about Llandudno and the local area and can provide plenty of recommendations for things to do and places to visit. The property is dog friendly and while we don’t have a dog ourselves, it was nice to see them truly welcomed. Cannot recommend highly enough.The Stella is the perfect base for visiting Llandudno as it is close to everything. We will definitely be back!
​Absolutely loved the Stella, stayed last weekend with my husband and Woody the toy poodle. Kristin has done a fantastic renovation! Very stylish and in keeping with the period of the house, it’s clean and fresh with modern but classic fittings and furniture

We had a lovely stay when we visited Llandudno, couldn’t fault The Stella and in a perfect location. The room was modern and impeccably clean, bright and fresh. The beds were also super comfy resulting in a great nights sleep. You can tell that dogs are at the heart of the B&B, with so many lovely additions/considerations to include them such as, in room blankets, treats, bowels and towels etc and outside toilet area. The dogs felt as welcome as we did, which is exactly what we wanted. Couldn’t have asked for more and highly recommend.
Absolutely Gorgeous
​The beautiful Stella's is absolutely gorgeous. The beds were so comfortable and slept amazing. Woke up to fresh baked pastries and coffee in the morning. I loved the California style breakfast too with all the options with Greek yoghurt and variety of seed toppings.
Perfect for Humans and Dogs, Highly Recommended!
We had a fantastic stay at The Stella Hotel in Llandudno with our dog. Kristen was warm, welcoming, and clearly put great care into every detail to make both guests and pets feel at home.The decor is tasteful and calming, and the hotel is impressively dog friendly , treats, hooks, towels, blankets, even a dedicated dog toilet area. Thoughtful extras, like a makeup cloth in the bathroom and accommodating dietary needs at breakfast, really stood out.The outdoor space is great with a choice of seating, with a small dedicated dog area to use if the need arises. A perfect blend of comfort, style, and genuine pet-friendliness. We highly recommend choosing Stella for your stay in Llandudno.
A Perfect Combination of Ultra-Modern and Classic Llandudno

​My wife and I booked a stay at The Stella only two days after it reopened after a complete ultra-modern refurbishment. The quality and cleanliness of the rooms at The Stella were truly top-notch. We were particularly impressed by the meticulous design, which clearly showed a lot of thought had gone into the refurbishment. The location is excellent. It is right next to the Great Orme Tramway and only a short walk to the promenade. In addition, it is very close to some excellent restaurants, cafes, and bars, making it ideal for our evening culinary adventures. We also loved that The Stella is dog-friendly. Even though we no longer have our own dog, thankfully, we met several lovely dogs visiting with their families. As former dog 'pawrents', we were also very impressed by the thought that had gone into strategically placing secure points in common room areas to attach leads and the room available to place a portable doggie bed next to chairs if needed. We cannot recommend The Stella highly enough, so much so that while we were there, we booked to stay again for the following two weekends, together with return stays with our visiting family members from the USA in August, for Halloween, and over Christmas.

The Stella Historic Guesthouse is, without question, an absolutely wonderful place to stay and one of the true shining stars of North Wales hospitality. Perfectly located just off Mostyn Street, a short stroll from the pier and promenade, and nestled by the iconic Great Orme Tramway, it offers both convenience and charm in equal measure.From the moment The Stella reopened in summer 2024, following a meticulous and complete refurbishment throughout 2023–24, we knew it was something special. In fact, we were honoured to be the very first guests to stay after its relaunch – and we’ve returned multiple times since! That alone should say everything, but allow us to explain why we keep coming back.The beds and bedding are exceptionally comfortable – some of the best we’ve experienced anywhere – and the bedrooms and bathrooms are not only very well-appointed, but also sensibly laid out with both function and style in mind. Every detail has been carefully considered to ensure guests are genuinely comfortable and relaxed.The Californian-style breakfast is a brilliant and refreshing idea. Self-served, it offers something for everyone and can be enjoyed either in the bright, airy dining room or in the cosy snug complete with a beautiful fireplace – a lovely touch that gives the place a real feeling of home.One of the great joys of The Stella is how it caters not just to two-legged guests but also to the four-legged members of the family. As a dog-friendly guesthouse, it offers the same level of care and thought for pets as it does for people, which we deeply appreciate.Another standout feature is the lovely tiled patio area at the front, complete with comfy outdoor furniture. We’ve enjoyed many a sunny morning or afternoon relaxing out there, watching the world go by. I took my mum to celebrate Mother’s Day and we stayed in the Joyce Suite for the weekend and brought my little dog along too. We were pleasantly surprised by the hoist who went out of her way to ensure we had a great stay. The suite was spotlessly clean and provided everything we needed for our stay. It had a little kitchen with fridge and kettle. The bath towels were huge and little things were included such as tooth brush, tooth paste, bathing hat, eye covers, and ear plugs. Breakfasts was provided within the booking price and was delicious which included fresh fruit, overnight oats, organic yogurt, white, brown, or whole meal toast with avocado or cheese. Fresh ground coffee and pastries which was all very filling and you could eat as much as you liked. The B&B is located in a beautiful part of Llandudno and the street was very quiet of an evening. There is also a lot of history in the building if this is of interest to you.​We could not fault our stay at the Stella and noticed there was no expense spared within the B&B, the bedding was like silk, soap and shower gel were thick and smooth and smelt beautiful, toilet roll was thick, cups and crockery were spotlessly clean - I could go on!!!​Perfect stay and we will definitely be back soon. You know you smashed it when your mum says “that was the best B&B I have ever stayed in.”​I have stayed in places before who say they are dog friendly but when you stay they really aren’t. Well the Stella is and provides dog biscuits, dog blanket, dog vouchers for the local pet shop, and other dog friendly amenities around the B&B which made me feel that my furbaby Bella was totally welcome!

(Tim Pattison)From the moment of arrival, Kristin’s welcoming smiling face is the glow of the place!(so Happy, so Welcoming, so Friendly)​We booked ‘The Stella’ purposely for the ‘Dog Welcome’ experience and the ‘option’ of dog sitting, so us Humans can go and do Human things! — other establishments need to look at what ‘The Stella’ and Kristin are doing!!!​Where do we start - well as above with Kristen, but let’s look a little further….— the hotel/B&B…. A fantastic refurb has taken place, beautiful, classy and lovely decor throughout— Dog Friendly, and it’s about the dogs and their human friends, such great little touches for the dogs, dog treat's everywhere… paw cleaning stations, doggy blankets in the bedroom, — nothing has been missed!— our Room - ‘Lorena’ - what can I say, bright, airy, spacious, and the Super King sized bed! amazing.​We will be back for sure!​Oh & our little man ‘Teddy’ (the Welsh Terrier), sends his Love / 5-Star Review and Thanks for looking after him, during the evening whilst Mum & Dad went for a Dinner Date and a couple of cheeky drinks! (Genius - Dog Sitting Service)Teddy was so happy for the rest after pounding the prom and walking miles.​5-star +​Rooms. LORENA - Clean, Tidy, Spacious, Modern 5* The Smart TV - the best I’ve ever seen in a hotel (I’ve stayed in many all over the world) Oh and an added Bonus with ‘Lorena’ — a Parking space is assigned to you at the property!​ Nearby activities — it’s Llandudno! Although, ‘The Stella’ is in a great location for all that you need in Llandudno.​ Walkability — Great Location and very accessible (Up a small incline - but not stress). ​Food and drinks — A great Californian inspired Continental Breakfast — hit the mark, and all that was needed for the morning after was on offer!!​ Noteworthy details — Dog Friendly Dog Sitting Service available (Genius) — well shall I say it’s more like a Doggy Hotel (inspired) where the Pups can bring their Human Companions!!

We have just had the pleasure of staying at the Stella Llandudno for two nights with our dogs and I cannot recommend it enough.Kirsten was really welcoming and made a fuss of our dogs on arrival. The room we stayed in was beautiful and had everything we could need for us and the dogs, including tasty home-made dog biscuits. The Californian inspired continental breakfast was a refreshing change from the usual full-English and included homemade overnight oats, fruit, yoghurt, pastries, cheese and fresh bread it was completely delicious. I would highly recommend the Stella to stay even if you don't have a dog.

Kristin the owner was very welcoming and a super host. The Stella was recently refurbished and she thought of all the little touches that made our stay amazing and stress-free. Apart from being a wonderful accommodation on its own, it's also a dog haven. From a cleaning station just outside to the blankets and treats to make sure our dog is as comfortable as us. We also had a delicious continental breakfast, everything freshly prepared. It's literally next door to the tram stop and less then 10mins walk to the promenade with plenty of bars and restaurants within walking distance. Even though not all rooms come with parking, there was plenty of street parking.
An enjoyable three day break at "The Stella"

We stayed at the Stella with our dog for a weekend break in October. We had not taken our dog to a B&B before, so we were not sure how he would be. We need not have worried as he was very much included in the whole experience. Kristin welcomed us in and took the time to get to know our dog too. He was happy the whole weekend. We stayed in the "Lorena" which has been beautifully restored, with an amazing view from the bay window of the sea and pier. The room was extremely clean and comfortable and with great character. To our delight, there was a special dog blanket bundle and treats on the chair as we walked in. The location of the Stella was perfect for us, as the Tram station was just around the corner and the "Kings Head" pub (next to Tram station) was our evening meal sorted (food exceedingly good). The breakfast was yummy, a wide selection to choose from, and a great start to the day. The hospitality we received was second to none, we could not have wished for more. We will definitely come back to The Stella as a weekend is just not long enough to see everything Llandudno has to offer.

Beautiful hotel Great location This hotel is so lovely and clean and perfect for taking your dog(s) they are made very welcome. We will definitely be returning and would liked to have stayed longer if possible. Just a great base to explore Llandudno and around Snowdonia!
